We adopted Rounder through ESRA over three years ago from the facility in Spring, Texas. Rounder got a lot of new experiences in his first week: my husband Doug took him to his sailboat
on the Texas coast to stay for a few days, since it turned out he had kennel cough, and our dog in El Paso needed to be vaccinated before he moved in there. Boats were new, and he loved running on
the beach and frolicking in the surf. Then he stopped in the Texas hill country and experimented with playing in Lake Travis and the Llano River. When he arrived in El Paso, he leaped for joy when
he spotted Poppy, our older female Springer. He fit right in and adapted to desert life. Since then, he has been to Mexico and visited ancient cliff dwellings, gone camping at the Devil’s River,
and spent many weeks at our cabin in southern New Mexico. He has even stayed in a high-rise hotel in Houston.
The photos of below are of Rounder and Poppy in the first two pictures. We now have a third Springer, a sort-of semi-rescue dog named Tres. Tres is a tri-colored English Springer. In the third picture Rounder, Tres, and Poppy (hiding under the tree) are in the Davis Mountains. . Claudia Rivers El Paso, Texas
