After loosing my first Springer, Jaxston, I never though I'd get
another one… then I met Rocky. When I was searching the ESRA website I
saw his picture and read his story and I knew I had to go meet him.

Rocky was rescued by ESRA from a shelter in Northwest Arkansas and
spent some time at a clinic in north Texas getting better. It was
evident that he had been mistreated. I met Beth from ESRA at the
clinic and when she brought out Rocky he ran to me and jumped up in my
lap. I knew right then he was going home with me.

I was nervous about getting another dog, but it was the best decision
I could've made. Rocky has brought so much joy to my family and me.
Rocky spends most of his days running around in the back yard,
swimming in the pool, playing with his squeaky toys, or lounging in
his bed. We live on the lake and he enjoys playing in the water and
going for walks around the neighborhood. He's always eager to get into
the car, but is usually asleep within minutes. So far he's been on
several road trips and has really enjoyed them.

Rocky's favorite time is bedtime. When I turn the lights off he jumps
into bed right beside me. He's a snuggles and insists on being right
next to me the entire night. His least favorite time is morning. He is
definitely not a morning person. He enjoys lying in bed watching Good
Morning America while I get up and around.

It's been almost two years and needless to say, Rocky is pretty happy
with his forever home and we're happy he's here. Just a quick look
around our house and you can tell who's the boss. His toys are
everywhere; the entire house has become his domain. Rocky has invaded
our lives and our hearts. I am so thankful ESRA found him and saved
his life. He has enriched my life so much that I can't think of what
life would be without him.

I also want to thank Beth Maryan who worked with me and helped bring
Rocky into my life. Her dedication to ESRA and its mission is
phenomenal. ESRA is blessed to have her as a volunteer.
