Hello, My name is Mr. Busby. Here I am with my Mom.....we're SO much in love, I just can't tell you!! She adopted me last fall and I was driven all the way from South Carolina to my forever home in Alabama by some very nice volunteer folks. My foster mom got me from a kill shelter only hours before I was to be put to sleep. I had been treated very badly and was very skinny from eating out of dumpsters and had a very bad ear infection. I am still TERRIBLY afraid of men (especially ones with baseball caps on). Since I came to live with my Mom, she has been working with me and I am very gradually getting over my fear of strangers, but I guess I'll always be just a wee bit afraid of someone new. She doesn't mind, though, and she just tells everyone that I'm in training and to not try and speak to me because it upsets me until I get to know someone. I wouldn't ever bite anyone, I just bark and shiver and it makes my Mom so sad to see me upset. But, BOY when I get to know you!!!! Well, he he he.....it is LOVE, LOVE, KISSES, KISSES and more LOVE!!! I sleep curled up in my Mom's arms every night and I'm in her lap whenever she sits down. When my Mom's two granddaughters come over we have the BEST time playing and running and I give them lots of kisses, too!!
Thank you ESRA for my happy "Forever" home
and all the volunteers who made my wonderful life possible!!
Sincerely, Mr. Busby
PS. Here is a picture of me giving my "cute, sad eyes" look. I get ANYTHING I want from my Mom with this look!! Note From Mary Henthorn (ESRA Member & NEW Editor of Happy Endings Pages): Congratulations Glenda on becoming a desperately needed Adopted MOM and Providing Mr. Busby a safe/secure FOREVER Home...There are so many wonderful dogs seeking, homes. Thank You for opening your heart and home to take this one off the market!!! It has been nice emailing with you...
