ESRA Southern California Picnic

This park is located between Long Beach Boulevard and Atlantic Avenue, north of 46th Street . There are several parking lots and street parking all around the park.

Please share with adopters and other springer owners who may want to come out and play, too!

The park is beautiful and has the Up Town dog park at one end. This is a small fenced in dog park, but perfect for our event. There is a large park with benches and tables. Lots of trees and shade. We will meet at the park Sunday June 9th around 10:30 AM and have lunch and games and lots of fun! Please bring your own chair and a pot luck item for lunch. We will bring soda, plates, and all the paper goods. Some easy ups for shade, too!

Please email me what you are bringing for the pot luck . There is a Vons close-by the park.

You can bring your dogs, on leash in the park and off leash in the dog park. you are responsible for your own dogs . Park does not have water for the dogs.  Look for the ESRA Banner or our red and Gray dog shirts! There are no BBQ's at the park.

No booth or work, just good folks, Springers, a pot luck, and maybe a few games. We could use a few locals to arrive early and secure some tables for us.

ESRA Midwest Chapter - 15th Year Anniversary for ESRA!

Celebration of fifteen years of rescuing springers.  Everyone is invited including members and families who have adopted and their springers.  Lunch will be served.  There will be a training on dock jumping, and another one about the body language of a dog.  There will be a silent auction and a bake sale with a lot of Springer items to purchase.

Sixth  Annual English Springer Spaniel Rescue Reunion Potluck and Picnic

You and your family are cordially invited to the sixth annual English Springer Rescue America picnic on Saturday August 17th from noon 'til 3pm.
Camp Charlie has two locations - the picnic is being held at the off-leash location (see street address above).  The off-leash location is divided into two park areas - the picnic will be at the south area.   As you drive into Camp you will see balloons and arrows guiding you towards the south area.  When entering please shut all gates behind you for the safety of the dogs!  Parking will be on the south side of the off leash area against the fence line.
We will have a food corral area as in past years so that the dogs are unable to reach the food.  Please bring your own lawn chairs, blankets, tables and non-alcoholic drinks.   Water buckets will be provided for the dogs.
We could use additional shade canopies or picnic tables.  If you are able to bring either of these items please email Kim Harris to let her know at   k_harris2003@hotmail.com
Also plan to your own drinks, and a blanket or a lawn chair.
We are planning on having a potluck-style picnic, so to make sure we have a variety of yummy items. Please follow the list below, corresponding to the first letter of your last name:

ESRA/Best Friends Animal Society - "Strut Your Mutt"

Walk, with festival to follow
On Saturday, September 7, 2013, a special pack of ESRA volunteers and their dogs will participate in a fundraising, scenic one-mile walk. After the "strut," enjoy the doggie-themed festival that includes massage and pooch pampering, training demonstrations, doggie yoga, the hottest products and accessories, free treats, music, food, contests, and more.
We will have water and snacks for participants and pooches in an ESRA gathering area TBA.
