THE “PAWSOME” SPRINGER DOLLHOUSE

We have a winner! The English Springer doll house has a new home. The original raffle raised over $6,000. The raffle winner donated the doll house back to ESRA and the house was then auctioned off live at the rescue dinner. Final result — $10,000 for ESRA!

Sprouted from the creative mind of one of ESRA's volunteers in the Southeast, a spectacularly detailed, unique and whimsical doll house will be raffled off to raise money for ESRA during ESSFTA's National Springer Specialty Show in September 2012.

The work was done by dozens of helping hands with lots of encouragement from others too far away to actually be "hands-on" for the project. It was a labor of love over many months and will be a project talked about for many years to be sure. The house is inhabited by a family of handmade Springers, artfully created with polymer clay and posed in the most hysterical positions and scenes that the creative mind can imagine!

A special Facebook page was created for volunteers and "likers" to comment as the project progressed and to make pleas for help when a special need arose. Click here to see lots and lots of photos of the project as its progression was documented on Facebook.

Another of ESRA Southeast's "finest" was the electrical engineer. The lighting throughout the house is as spectacular as the family it shines on! Special details like the bone-encrusted fireplace mantel indicate the care and creativity that can be seen in every corner of the house. No one will possibly be able to glance at the house without bursting into laughter! Most of the detailed rooms will just crack you up! Tickets can be purchased online with your credit card through ESRA's secure server or you may mail a check or money order along with your request for raffle tickets and contact information. Detailed instructions are located through the links below. Please take note of the deadlines for purchasing tickets both online and by mail.

SPECIAL NOTE: Tickets will be available until 2:00 pm in the ESRA booth at the ESSFTA National Springer Specialty Show with the winner selected on Friday, September 28, at the Rescue Dinner and Auction. Two tickets will be drawn. The first ticket drawn will win the Doll House. The second ticket drawn will win a custom-designed one-room miniature scene — either indoor or outdoor — the choice of the winner, including the dog breed of the winner's choice!

You do not need to be present to win. The Doll House will be shipped to the winner within the continental US. Any winner outside of that area will be responsible for shipping charges.
