9/10/08:   Bumble Bee does great with other dogs. He is currently playing with a ten year old beagle, four year old husky/shepard and two 4-month old boxer puppiess.

He likes to play fetch but does not release so well, he also loves the water and he knows the command sit. He minds very well and does not jump. He has been wormed, fecal checked, received his DHPP vaccine, Bordetella vaccine, flea and tick treated, and he will be neutered, given a rabies vaccine and microchipped before he goes home.

9/6/08:   Bumblebee was located as a stray in the town of Siren by Starr Drive.

He is a beautiful boy and a typical springer. Just look at that bandit mask and sweet smile. This boy will become your devoted friend if you let him.

May we introduce Captain. He loves everybody! He is wonderful with other dogs, even if they snap at him he doesn't do anything back. Cats are good too, just one more way to get attention. And kids, wonderful!

Captain knows basic commands, loves the water and playing fetch. The only area he needs to work on is leash training and he does not like being in a kennel or crate. Of course not, he is a Captain. Sadie is a sweet Springer Spaniel who is so easy to have around sometimes you forget she's there. She gets along great with other dogs and doesn't chase cats. She seems to be housebroken and hasn't had an accident in her foster home.

Sadie has a yucky looking skin infection on her rump and hind legs so she looks a bit scabby right now, but she's being treated with antibiotics and medicated shampoo and is already looking better. She'll be absolutely beautiful when all her hair grows back in. She will need to be kept on flea prevention medication, like Frontline, for the rest of her life so she doesn't get anymore skin infections. Her adoptive family will need to continue with her antibiotics and bathe her twice a week with special shampoo, which the shelter will provide.

Sadie walks easily on a leash and knows how to sit on command. She will also catch a treat in the air even though she has some age-related cloudiness in her eyes. She's an easy care girl and just wants someone to love her and let her be a house dog.

The vet says Sadie appears to be spayed so her adoption fee is only $10.00 plus a $20 refundable rabies deposit.

This is a very nice, friendly and beautiful boy. He is larger than the usual Springer and has a full tail.

He'd been in a recent dog fight prior to being found and had a deep puncture wound in his left hip. While at the shelter he managed to pull out the stitches three times so he was moved into the vet center where he can be more closely monitored.

Sadie is a beautiful, young field Springer turned in by her owners because they do not have time for her. She is very friendly, has a sweet lil Springer wiggle-butt and wants to go home SOOOOO badly. She loves water!

She will be great for an active family who will continue training her to reach the full potential of her beautiful Springer self. She needs a backyard (maybe a pool?) and active family who has lots of time to spend loving her.

Gracie came to us because her owner is moving and can't keep her. She is a seven month old female springer spaniel mixed with some terrier (maybe) which gives her a wirey type of fur.

Deacon's owner was evicted from his home and abandoned Deacon. The neighbors fed him for three months hoping the owner would come back but he never did. Deacon is now in a volunteer home. He has been to the vet and is up-to-date on shots, heartworm negative, and neutered.

Deacon is a sweet guy who loves attention. He loves to play catch, you throw he will catch it. He goes into the kennel when told and he sits most of the time when asked. His tail hasn't really stopped wagging since he got here.

He didn't really like his bath but he did stay put until it was over. He loves to be with people all the time, and has only barked when he wanted out of his kennel to go outside.

Deacon is up to date on routine shots and is housetrained.

Rocky is a gorgeous English Springer Spaniel with a beautiful liver and white coat. His previous owner said he is a purebred, but did not bring any paperwork.

Rocky seems to be very smart and quick to learn. He lived with children at his preious home and was friendly and well behaved with them. He also lived with another dog and was friendly and playful with him too. He may chase cats because he wants to play.
