Posted: 6/17/08 Purebed, mix? We are not sure, but Sassy is adorable. Sassy is a very sweet little girl. She is full of personality! She is very social and has a ton of energy. She is also extremely smart. Sassy is learning her basic commands and is working on housetraining. She is a star student. Sassy is up to date on her shots and has already been spayed. She is waiting anxiously for her forever family.

Posted: 6/17/08 Pal came to the shelter as a stray. He is a real lover. Pal is fine with other dogs, but un-tested with cats. He needs a fun loving home, that will spend some time with him. He is a diamond in the rough. He is a L/W Tri color

Sara loves being with a humans, and gets along well with other dogs. Don't know about cats, but she actively searches for birds in trees and critters in the bushes (occasionally catches a bird), so I would expect her to be keenly interested in cats. She likes stuffed toys, and loves to fetch a tennis ball(loves it a lot!)

Posted: 04/05/2008 My previous owner did not have time for me so they relinquished me. I am spayed and good with kids! I enjoy a good game of fetch! They say I weigh 36 lbs. which is on the smaller size for an English Springer Spaniel but probably I was bred to hunt. I am like most springers, very active, smart, people oriented, easy to train with positive reinforcement, and ready for a good walk or run every day.

Sadie is affectionate and snuggly, she thinks she's a lap dog. She loves to
play ball, chase a Frisbee, and go for walks. She will go swimming at a moment's notice. She knows basic dog commands and listens well.

Posted: 04/05/2008 Benson is a beautiful 66# liver and white purebred springer spaniel. He is a neutered male, his shots are current, he has been dewormed, and he is housebroke and kennel trained. He is very friendly and working on his leash manners. Boy O Boy, does he love his tummy rubs!

Posted: 4/20/2008 Roscoe was found as a stray and wound up being taken in by a good samaritan who thought he was a wonderful dog and contacted us for help. Can you believe no one claimed this good looking boy?? He is being fostered by the woman who found him and is housebroken and does very well with her other dogs and cats. He loves to run and play and is very affectionate with everyone in the home including children. He is approx. 1 year old and 45 lbs. We feel he is probably mixed with some Lab. He will be neutered on 4/22 and fully vaccinated.

Posted: 04/20/2008 Hello, my name is Larz. I am a handsome Springer, about 5 years old. I have a shaggy white coat with auburn markings around my eyes, on my ears and backside. I also have cute freckles on my nose and legs. I love being with people as you can tell from the big smile on my face in the photos above. I have been socialized with other dogs and do well with them. I am quite an energetic boy so I'd love to find a person/family that will keep me active. I am searching for a home that will give me all of the love and affection I SO deserve. My adoption fee is $325; this includes neuter surgery, vaccinations, microchip, and all medical. Dogs over six months of age are heartworm tested, and heartworm preventative is applied monthly while in the SPCA's care. Heartworm positive dogs are treated. All dogs and puppies are given medication for roundworms and are tested for other intestinal parasites. If worms are found, the dogs are treated. All dogs and puppies are checked and treated for fleas. All dogs in our care are vaccinated for DHLPP, rabies, bordetella nasal, and bordetella injection; puppies are provided three DHLPP vaccinations. Dogs and puppies are individually priced.

Benny is a sweet puppy. He came in very sick, but has been nursed back to good health. He is a gentle puppy and will be a wonderful companion for the right person.

Posted: 04/05/2008 5/18/08: Both dogs are in permanent foster care. Who Who and his best friend Alisha, Brittany Spaniel, were recently turned over to the Wee Bar None Ranch by their owners, who had to move to a rental home where no dogs are allowed. We will be placing them together. They are wonderful dogs, very well mannered and with great dispositions. Currently in a foster home, we wish to place them soon with a family who will bring them into their daily lives. Please contact the Wee Bar None Ranch for information.

Posted:03/29/2008 Bessie was found as a stray and taken to an animal control facility. She was pregnant and ready to deliver at anytime. Because animal control was not set up for her situation, Bessie was turned over to us. She delivered 7 puppies and was an excellent mother! Bessie earned her name because, when she came in pregnant, she was as bog as a cow plus she's black and white! Bessie is estimated to have been born around 1998. Imagine how many litters she's had over the years! Bessie went through her spay surgery successfully and is now waiting for a home. She appears to be completely house trained and is a very gentle girl. Bessie may need to be crated when left alone in her new home as she exhibits some mild separation anxiety here at the shelter. Bessie gets along well with everyone she meets! Bessie is just an old girl that would love to have a home where she will be spoiled and loved in her "golden years".

Posted: 04/05/2008 My name is Sandy. I am a 5 year-old Spring Spaniel with a liver and white coat. I am a Wright County stray whose owners never claimed. I am a nervous and shy as you can see from my photos. I weigh 49 lbs and don't care for cats. I have just recently been groomed and look much better than when I arrived. I am an indoor animal companion who likes to go on long walks. I also need a fenced in backyard and obedience training. I am spayed, vet checked, vaccinated and heartworm-free. Minimum contribution expected: $300

Posted: 04/05/2008 Riley is a wonderful 10 year old Springer Spaniel. He was surrendered to the shelter because his owner was moving. Riley injured his eye at the shelter and came to our rescue. Unforunately, his eye was too damaged and had to be removed. So, Riley only has one eye. However, this does not stop him from fetching his beloved ball, going to the off leash dog park and being a normal boy. Riley is active, intelligent and totally trained. He is great with all ages of people, cats and other dogs. If you are looking for a well trained, well behaved dog who is still very much playful and vibrant, then Riley is your boy! Posted: 3/31/2008 What a great dog! Hunter is a four year old male Spaniel, and he weighs about 50 lbs. Hunter was given to us by a family that could no longer take care of him properly. He knows sit, shake, and focus, and he is very calm and well-behaved on a leash. He is housebroken and crate trained. He rides extremely well in the car – he sits still and watches all the other cars go by. We have had him professionally groomed, and he did absolutely wonderful, although he was a bit touchy about his ears. Hunter is a very sweet boy that loves his people, although he can be stubborn at times if he doesn’t feel like doing something. He will need an experienced dog owner. He is extremely choosy about his doggy friends – he likes some, dislikes others – he would definitely need to meet any resident dogs before you adopt him. He likes small furry animals a bit too much, so his forever home needs to be feline-free. Hunter loves long walks in the park, and curling up to cuddle with his people. He’s a middle-aged dog who isn’t too interested in playing too much – he really just wants to spend time with you! Hunter is up to date on shots.

Meet Lana, the beautiful tri-colored English Springer. She’s also got a heart so loyal, she won’t stray far from your side. As a field Springer, 35-pound Lana will need some grooming. But she won’t need any pointers on good manners, as she is both housetrained and crate trained. Having energy to burn, 3-1/2-year-old Lana loves her exercise and she’ll need plenty of it. While a fenced yard would be ideal, she is trained to stay close. But a fence will insure that she can get a good run whenever she likes without worry. Lana would really like a home where someone is around more than not. She’s very people oriented and likes nothing better than to be at your feet or napping in the sun nearby. Lana wouldn’t mind another canine in the house, either, as long as they aren’t too big. For some reason, they’re a bit scary for her, though she does warm up eventually. Due to Lana’s energetic nature, small kids probably won’t be the best fit for Lana. We don’t really know how she’ll be around cats, but suspect her field skills might make them fair game for chasing. We suspect she’ll get her fill of that when playing fetch, retrieving Frisbees from the water while swimming or running freely around your cabin. Lana is one great dog. One great dog, looking for her forever home. Could it be with you? Lana's adoption fee is $375 (cash or check only) and includes spay/neuter, heartworm check, current vaccinations, and microchip and registration. Due to post-adoption services provided, it is Pet Haven's policy to only place dogs into homes within a 60-mile radius of the Twin Cities area.

He was originally taken in by a dog lover who was unable to keep him permanently. Ace is a happy guy just looking for his forever home. Could that be with you? We found Bella and Sissy to be very sweet, playful, smart, adorable girls. They love attention, are responsive, and enjoy being outside. Very well mannered, cookie monsters, both darling girls. People oriented, delightful girls, friendly, play well together and are two peas in a pod. Bella is very agile, a gorgeous girl, has been well cared for and eager for a new permanent home.
